Our Story
Simply put, people buy Pure Notions Chocolate because they want actual chocolate. The way it was intended to be.
For those not familiar with the experience of eating Bean to Bar chocolate a good comparison to draw is instant coffee versus barista coffee. Yes, both are technically coffee but we all know which one we would rather have.
When it comes to chocolate it’s even more drastic.
The cacao bean has a complex expression of flavours stemming from the origin, fermentation and roasting process. It has the potential to contain 100s of different aromas from Fruity to Floral to Fudge. These distinct flavours can’t be expressed in your standard chocolate bar as essentially they have been ruined by over industrialisation for the sake of margins. Introducing low cost and quality ingredients to give the illusion of chocolate. Burning Cacao beans into powder to give a uniform taste. Pumping palm oil in to ease processing and cut costs.
